BUILT-ON SOUND CARD Removal
In order to avoid potential conflicts, before installing a new Sound Card
it is necessary sometimes to thoroughly remove a built on Sound device.
This device must be removed not only from Windows, but also at the BIOS level,
so that the Device Drivers do NOT get installed again the next time you
If your sound card is built into the motherboard, usually there is a BIOS
setting to disable the onboard sound. Once you have done so, then you can
uninstall the drivers from within Windows. Please consult with the Computer's
documentation or contact the computer or motherboard manufacturer for
information on this.
