1) Use the mixer component to select the CD drive as the record source.

2) Play the CD until it is cued to the place you wish to record from.

3) Press Record (the button with the red circle) on the DAT (Wave) player
   to put it in standby mode. 

4) Press the Play button (a single triangle pointing to the left) to begin
   recording. (The LED lights on the DAT player will light up indicating
   data is being received.)

5) Press the Stop button (the button with a square on it) to finish 
   recording. 

6) Click Play to review the recording.  

7) To edit and save the recording, click Edit (this will launch the WinDAT 
   application.)
