AudioStation32 consists of six main components:
- Power Bar
- File Player
- Audio Mixer
- Equalizer
- CD Player
- AudioView 32 (not displayed when AS32 launches)
POWER BAR
---------
Enables or Disables the various AudioStation32 components.
FILE PLAYER
-----------
The File Player in AS32 is sort of an all encompassing playback device.
It will play:
.WAV files (Wave files)
.MID files (MIDI files)
.MP3 files (MPEG files) (If you have a newer version of Windows Media Player
that installs the MP3 Codec into the OS)
.AVI files (video files)
DVD files (if you have a DVD drive on your computer)
AUDIO MIXER
-----------
The Audio Mixer works much the same way as a receiver would on a home stereo
system. On the right, you will see the large, main volume knob and balance
control for your PC.
To the left of that, you will see smaller sliders that represent volume and
balance for all the individual sound components of your PC.
On the far left, there is a square switch that allows you switch between the
playback faders and the recording faders.
EQUALIZER
---------
The 10 band Equalizer allows you to fine trim the Frequency Response curve
of your sound card, to compensate for acoustic discrepancies in the listening
room.
CD PLAYER
---------
The AudioStation32 CD Player is designed to be similar to your home stereo
CD player, with a few added functions.
AUDIOVIEW 32
------------
The AudioView32 Editor launches when you click on the icon located at
the lower right corner of the File Player. It allows you to Edit your
wave files.
