Digital Music - What is?
Digital music is audio stored as digital files on a hard disk or other
computer media, like FLASH RAM, CD ROM, ZIP discs, floppies, etc. The terms
MP3, WMA or WAV files refer to digital music formats that can be played by a
PC. The digital music on an audio CD is compatible only with CD players and
must be converted (or "ripped") into one of these formats in order to be
played on a PC or a digital music player.
