Network Terminology - TCP/IP Network Protocol
The "language" used to transfer data between devices in a network is called
the "network protocol" and includes acronyms such as TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and
NetBEUI. AT uses TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)
to communicate over a network, therefore your network must be set up to use
TCP/IP for compatibility with AudioTron.

The AudioTron Setup Utility can be used to check if your network is running
TCP/IP. To check if your network is running TCP/IP:

  1. Launch the Control Panel by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel
Double-click on the Network icon to launch the Windows Network screen.

  2. In the Network Dialog, click on the listing for your Ethernet or HPNA
network interface card (NIC). Then, click on Properties and in the
Bindings Tab, check that TCP/IP and File Sharing are enabled.

  3. If TCP/IP is not installed, refer to the Windows Help for instructions
on how to set up the network with TCP/IP.
