Using newer firmware the maximum number of song titles in the database is
approximately 30,000 depending upon the amount of Tag data embedded into
your song files.
If you have a huge library and need more than 30,000 songs:
* You may add a second AT, and set them up so that they use different user
names/passwords on different shares. This way you double the number of
titles to 60,000 and so forth...
* You may also create a new library with a different set of 30,000 songs in
a new Share on your Network, not seen by the AT. When you want to play
this set of songs, you just enable this Share and disable the 'old' one.
You may repeat this process for as many libraries as your hard drives have
room for. The point being not to exceed the maximum capacity of the AT at
any given time.

NOTES:
* The AT doesn't actually hold/store songs. Rather, it catalogs the song
names in its internal memory so that it knows where all the songs are
located. When you press "Play" on AudioTron, it uses the internal database
to locate the song on a PC hard drive in the network, then plays the song
by "streaming" the file over the network to your stereo system.
* For test results and a small program that reads your TOC file and guesses
how many songs your AudioTron can hold, you may Download a ZIP file from
Stan Abeln's Web Site:

How to squeeze more songs:
Use Brian Antoine's TOCMaker to generate a toc file. Use the -8 switch
and the TOC's file names will be shortened to their 8-character DOS
equivalents. This will NOT in any way alter your mp3 files...it will,
however, increase the AudioTron's capacity.
The only "drawback" is that TOCmaker does not work with V1 tags.
If you've already got V2 tags, then you're all set.
Before doing this, I maxed out at about 28,000 songs. I've now got
nearly 33,000 indexed with enough spare capacity for another few
thousand (I'm guessing).
