Connecting PC to AT directly - Crossover cable - Static 
Q:  I am a little confused after reading your web site regarding the
    AudioTron. Do I need a network in order to connect the AudioTron, 
    or can I just simply connect the ethernet cable from my computer 
    to the AudioTron? I am using Windows XP on a desktop with no DSL 
    or Highspeed internet connections.


A:  If you do not have any other PCs to network you can use an Ethernet
    Crossover cable and Static IP Address to make a direct connection from 
    the Atron to the PC. If you plan to add another PC or other network device
    you will need a Hub or Router and standard Ethernet cables to connect 
    everything together.

NOTE: A regular cat5 patch cable is NOT a Crossover cable. In a Crossover 
      cable, one wire is crossed so a DIRECT connection can be made between
      two PCs without a Router or Hub.
