UPDATE:
Unfortunately, all the Servers that were hosting the AudioTron and all of its
Software Application Services are no longer running as they have been shut 
down.  Even if you had the Product ID, it would not be possible to activate
the Software in a new system. This entire product line has been discontinued 
and there are no replacement versions.

The following applies to the Retail Product only, for the original owner and 
not for OEM, Second Hand, eBay, Auction, Clearance Markdown, Flea Market, 
Garage / Yard Sales, etc.

If you no longer have your Product ID, you can still use the Hardware by
Downloading the Drivers posted on our FTP Files Download Area. For the Retail
product, the Product ID was printed on a sticker on the back of the 
Applications disk (paper sleeve). 

Please NOTE that the Gateway branded AudioTron as well as a good number 
of *Clearance* items sold by Best Buy, eBay or by other Re-Sellers, 
Installers, did NOT include any CD with any Software. Of course the 
*Prototypes* as pre-production units, only came with a Power Cord and nothing
else since in the first place, they were *NOT FOR SALE*. If you come across 
any such unit on eBay etc. please be advised that it is ILLEGAL to sell or 
buy such units.  

The beauty of the AT is that it is a true Networking device not dependent on
Software running on the PC (as quoted twice by PC Mag Editor's Award Review).
The AT does not need that old discontinued Software (AudioStation). Besides

Product IDs are issued once, are unique per customer, non-transferable 
(original owner only) and there are Royalties & Licensing Fees associated 
with each one. 

New Product IDs CANNOT be generated for Discontinued Products. Please note
that these products will not install or function anyway in new Systems. 
Also, since the product is discontinued it is *Locked* and new 
Registrations (Activations) cannot take place.
  
Mixing and matching old with new Technologies is never a good idea and you
assume full responsibility for all potential problems that may occur.

Provisions.  Using an "illegal" non-licensed Product ID - Software that was 
not purchased - constitutes copyright law infringement and is punishable. We 
reserve the right to refuse Registrations that have violated this agreement.

Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the software, or any portion 
of it, may result in severe civil and criminal penalties, and will be 
prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.  

The purchase price for the Software grants you a non-transferable License 
to use one copy of the Software on a single computer. You may make copies of
the Software solely for archival purposes. Additional copies must be purchased
for use in additional computers.
