AudioStation 4 - FAQs

All files and documentation are offered on an *AS IS* basis and you assume full responsibility for using them.
System Requirements
COMPUTER: IBM PC or compatible, with Windows-compatible SVGA display
    and 16-bit sound card.

PROCESSOR: Pentium-class 233MHz or better processor  
           (400MHz for Windows 2000) 

RAM: 32 MB System RAM (64 MB RAM for NT/2000) 

HARD DRIVE: Sufficient disk space for storage of your Digital Music files.
    A typical four-minute song will use approximately 3 to 5 MB of hard disk
    space.

SERIAL PORT: One available serial port is required for use with the 
    AudioStation RF Remote (AudioStation Remote Control and SonicLink only).

OPERATING SYSTEMS: 
    Windows(R) 98 
    Windows(R) Millennium Edition 
    Windows(R) NT 4.0 WorkStation (with Service Pack 4 or higher installed)  
    Windows(R) 2000 Professional (SP2 recommended)

CD-ROM DRIVE: A 16X or faster CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive capable of reading 
    both data and audio Compact Discs.

AUDIO PLAYBACK SYSTEM: The SonicLink Wireless Audio Sender/Receiver works 
    with standard, stereo, line level inputs and outputs, such as those found
    on PC sound cards, home stereo systems, mini-stereos and powered speakers.

VIDEO DISPLAY: 800 x 600 high color (16 Bit) 

INTERNET ACCESS is required for updates and for CDDB access. 


NOTE: 
    Service Pack 4 or higher and Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher are required
    for Windows NT 4.0

NOTES:
    Please bear in mind that our published minimum requirements are based on 
    a test system that was reasonably optimized for performance (without a lot
    of overhead). A typical "casual home user" will often be unwilling to run 
    as 'lean' a system, so in-home performance may be compromised to some
    extent.
 
    We recommend using minimum requirements as a starting point, but faster 
    systems will provide better results. Other applications, especially games,
    may have higher system requirements. Refer to the applications documention
    for details. 

    Windows 98 or Millennium are no longer supported by Microsoft, therefore, 
    VTB cannot offer support for these old Windows platforms.
