AudioStation 5 - FAQs

All files and documentation are offered on an *AS IS* basis and you assume full responsibility for using them.
Setting AudioStation as your default Media Player for streaming media content
If you have multiple media players installed on your computer, all of them
will try and make themselves the DEFAULT player for several if not all the
media types that they support.

The Windows Media Player will try and open any file with a wma, asx, or asf
extension. If you would like to use AudioStation for these file types, make
sure you DISABLE these extentions in Windows Media Players preference tab.

Once this is done, then insure that AudioStation has been set to play these
file types.

To disable Windows Media Player:

  1. Tools-> Options-> Formats

  2. De-select Windows Media File, Windows Media audio file, and Windows Media
     audio / video file, as well as any others you wish to have AudioStation
     play.

  3. Click "Apply"

  4. You may need to repeat this if Windows Media Player is updated.

In AudioStation:

  1. Options -> Preferences -> Formats

  2. Choose "Check All" and enable "Automatically make AudioStation the
     default player for these formats on startup.

If you have additional media players on your system, you will need to repeat
this process in all of the other media players.
