I would like to record in my Computer but I am new to computers and I do
not know how to go about it. All this Wave / MIDI is unknown to me.

What are you trying to record? Are you recording from the Line In jack,
  the MIC jack, the CD?

You can record from any available recording source in Audioview.
You just have to select your desired recording source in the Windows
  Volume Control.

  Click on Start>Programs>Accessories>Multimedia (or Entertainment
  in Win98)>Volume Control

In the upper left click on Options/Properties.

Be sure you are set to Playback and check all boxes in the white section
  at the bottom.

  Do NOT click OK yet.

Switch to recording by clicking the Recording radio button.

Check the all the boxes in the white section below for this setting as
  well.

  Now click OK.

In this recording volume control, be sure the source you are trying to
record from is selected and the volume is up. Try recording again.

If this does not work, your card may be configured strangely such
that the recording source is on some fader that is other than the
  obvious choice.

Try selecting other faders as the recording source and be sure the
volume is up and try recording again.

If it still does not work, try switching back to the playback faders
and turn them all up and take all the mutes off and try recording again.

If it still does not work, you may be having some sound card driver
problems. You may wish to contact your computer/sound card
manufacturer to confirm that the sound card is installed properly.
