Q:  I am attempting to remove the scratches, hisses, pops, etc. from vinyl LPs
    that I have recorded on to my hard-drive. When I click on to the "effects"
    the small box drops down but nothing happens when I click on to the audio
    restoration or any other choice that is presented there. 

    When I open the help window, the small box drops down, and it allows me 
    to click-on  & open any of the help categories that are presented. I can
    access the mixer, recorder, and use the play-back quick touch buttons, 
    but none of the quick touch buttons activate for any of the effects. 
    Please advise.


A:  In order to use the effects, you have to select the desired audio section
    on which to apply the effects. Or, to select the entire file click on 
    Edit>Select All (Ctrl + A). Then you will be able to apply the effects.
