CD Burning - Error: "Write command failed..
If you get an error stating "Write command failed... Read/Write error or bad
medium detected."

This error is usually caused by a buffer underrun (the term "buffer underrun"
means that data is not being sent to the recorder at a fast enough rate to
maintain the selected recording speed).

Here's a few things that you can try:

1. Try recording at a slower speed.

2. Shut down other applications. In particular,
   - Check the system tray for CD related programs. Many CD-RW drives come
with software to allow you to copy files to your CD Recorder directly.
This software is typically running all the time.

   - If you have a screen saver or use power saving modes, disable them or set
them to not kick in for a longer period of time.

   - Disable virus checking software.

   - Disable other disk utilities or background programs.

3. Defragment your hard disk. If your hard disk is very fragmented, access
   time will suffer greatly.

4. Change the cache priority to "High."

5. If you just ran a successful test burn, and your write fails you may need
to eject the CD and re-insert it before burning.
