* Build a PC digital music library from CDs and Internet Downloads:
AudioStation lets you create a digital music library by converting audio
CDs to Windows Media(TM) (WMA) or WAV digital formats. You can also add
to your music library by downloading digital music from the Internet.
Most music files are in MP3 or Windows Media (WMA) formats, which are
both compatible with AudioStation. AudioStation's exclusive AutoGain
feature automatically corrects for changes in volume levels when
playing back songs, eliminating variations in sound levels when music
is recorded from different sources.
* Listen to Internet Radio:
AudioStation plays Internet Streaming Audio so you can listen to
Internet radio stations on your PC. The TurtleRadio(TM) website makes
it easy to create a list of stations by providing a wide variety of
streaming audio sources that have been certified to operate properly
with AudioStation and AudioTron.
* Storing digital music on your PC hard drive:
Your PC hard drive is perfect for storing a digital music library.
Converting Redbook Audio CD music tracks to Windows Media (WMA) format
reduces a typical song file to about 5MB of hard disk space—which means
you can store more than 8,000 songs on a 40GB hard drive. That's about
800 CDs! The CD song titles can be automatically downloaded from the
CDDB(R) service on the Internet, so you don't have to type in the track
information.
* Listening to your PC digital music library:
AudioStation lists the songs in your PC music library by artist, genre,
album or track title, so you can easily find any song and create custom
playlists of your favorite tunes.
For example, if you would like to hear all of the songs by a particular
artist, click on the "Artists" folder to expand a list of all artists
in the Music Library. Then click on the name of the artist to see all
of the songs by that artist in the Playlist pane on the right side.
Or, if you would like to play all of the tracks on a particular album,
click on the "Albums" folder to see a list of all the albums in the
Music Library. Clicking on the album name in the list would list the
songs in that album in the Playlist pane.
After the songs are listed, you can play any song by highlighting the
track and pressing the Play button in the transport controls at the top
of the AudioStation screen. You can also create custom playlists with
your favorite songs and save them in the "User Playlists" folder.
* Burn Custom CDs and Print CD Labels:
If your PC has a CD-R drive, you can use AudioStation to burn custom
CDs with your favorite songs in Redbook audio format (for standard CD
players) or in Windows Media (WMA) or WAV formats (for digital data CD
players.) AudioStation also lets you print lists of the song titles on
the custom CD and cover art for the CD jewel case.
