AudioStation 6 uses the Gracenote Disc Recognition Service (DRS) from
CDDB, Inc. to get the artist, title, track, credit and other information about
the CDs you play. This service is FREE and automatic. You must register with
CDDB. This can be done either during the AudioStation Setup Wizard -
Registration or later from the Options menu in AudioStation 6.
To register during the AudioStation Setup Wizard - Registration:
- The AudioStation Setup Wizard - Registration will automatically run the
1st time that AudioStation 6 is run.
- Put in your information and follow the Setup Wizard.
- Put a check in "Register me with Gracenote CDDB also" and " Automatically
renew my registration when needed". Click Next and follow the rest of the
Setup Wizard.
You can also access the CDDB Registration Wizard from the Options menu:
- From the AudioStation main screen, click on the Options menu item.
- Click on Preferences…
- In the Preferences window that opens, click on the CDDB tab.
- Put a check mark in the box labeled "Use CDDB".
- Click on the Apply button, to the lower right. The AudioStation Setup
Wizard
- Registration Wizard will now open. Put in you information and follow the
Setup Wizard.
- Put a check in "Register me with Gracenote CDDB also" and "Automatically
renew my registration when needed". Click Next and follow the rest of the
Setup Wizard.
To see or edit the full Gracenote information for a CD: When you insert an
audio CD into your CD-ROM drive, AudioStation will automatically search its
internal database for information. If it detects that the CD is not in its
database, AudioStation will launch the CDDB user interface. You may also
select Refresh CDDB Info from the View menu if a CD is in the drive, to update
data when the CD is in the database.
