In Music Conservatory I get the Cannot find pointers or history error message. 
This error indicates that the program "share.exe" is not loaded in DOS. 

Exit the program to DOS, type Share, and press [ENTER].  This will load the 
Share program.  

If you would like to have Share load automatically when you start your 
system, modify your "autoexec.bat" file so "share.exe" is loaded before 
Windows.

manual.
