Record Producer - FAQs

All files and documentation are offered on an *AS IS* basis and you assume full responsibility for using them.
File Formats
"Record Producer Deluxe" Saves by default in proprietary .RPAS format, which
is the most powerful format, allowing for independent editing of MIDI & Audio
Tracks, even after a file is Saved. You may also perform a "Create Audio
Mixdown" from the File menu, which will Save the material as a Wave file.

                       *****************************

RPP
This is the only format which saves both MIDI and Digital Audio data in the
same file.

If you plan to use your file only with your own system, save your song in
Voyetra's proprietary .RPP format. This format preserves all of the file's
settings independently, just as you see them on the screen.

RPAS
Record Producer (digital) audio sample files.

********************

RPMS
Record Producer MIDI sample files.

********************

MID
MIDI format does not save Digital Audio data. For compatibility with most
other PC MIDI applications, use the standard .MID format. When you save a
file in this format, settings for Tempo, Tempo Offset and Transpose are
combined and the resulting new values are saved. Muted and un-soloed tracks
are deleted.

********************

RMI
Files in this format include a header with identifying information which
certain MIDI devices may require. In other respects, .RMI files are identical
to standard MIDI files.

********************

ORC
This is the song file format used by the Voyetra's Digital Orchestrator
series. Record Producer can read .ORC files, but it cannot save in this
format.

********************

WAV
WAV or WAVE files are the standard digital audio file format. Record Producer
can read/import .WAV (PCM) files, but it cannot save in this format.
