Rave Ejay offered some really great sounds on three add-on CDs called Drum and
Bass, Hardcore and Ambient. You can use these CD sample kits in the Techno
eJay or the Dance eJay 2 programs following these instructions:
1. With Dance Ejay 2 open, click on the floppy disc icon and select
'Import Samples'. Then remove the Dance Ejay 2 CD from your CDROM drive
and insert the Rave Ejay Samplekit CD into your CDROM drive.
2. Where it says "Look In', browse to your CDROM drive and open up the 'Waves'
folder on the Rave Ejay Samplekit CD. In the Import Samples dialog box,
you can listen to the samples from the various folders before importing
some or all of the samples.
3. Once you choose to import the samples, you will receive a message:
"The selected import samples do not correspond to the basic Dance Ejay
tempo of 140 BPM. A tempo of 180 has been detected. Do you want to convert
all 180 BPM samples to 140 bpm?"
Click on 'Yes'
4. The imported samples will then appear in the Wave category. Now they are
ready to use in your mix just as any other sample. *These imported samples
will actually get copied to the Timesav folder in the d_ejay 2 folder on
your hard drive.
Once you have your song exactly as you imagined, be sure to save your song
(for later editing) as a .mix by clicking on the floppy disc icon and select
'Save Mix'.
If you want to export your mix as a wave file to burn it onto a CD, click on
the floppy disc icon and select 'Export Mix'. Choose the directory (folder)
where you want to save your file, name your file and click OK.
