This will only work if your sound card responds to these controller messages.

You can choose from any of the supported 128 General MIDI Controllers for use
recording and playing back your MIDI files using MIDI Orchestrator Plus. While
the process is not as versatile as it is in Digital Orchestrator Pro, you can
get usable results, if not with the same amount of control.

Below is an example of how to get that analog moog/arp solo sound that was so
prevalent in Seventies rock. This sound/style is most associated with Keith
Emerson from the seminal fusion/prog band ELP. Here's how to get the sound.

From within the program:

  1. Click on Options->Controllers
  2. Set Controller A for Portamento On/Off
  3. Set Controller B for Portamento Time
  4. Click OK

Choose the channel you want to record your track on.
Choose your patch. For that classic Seventies sound choose patch #81 (Lead 1
Square Wave)

For your Portamento Control number choose 128
For your Portamento Time number choose 32

After you have the take you want save your file as a MIDI file. You won't be
able to edit the controllers in the Event List, so make sure you are happy
with what you have. Start a new file. Import your MIDI file. You can now
change your controllers for the next track.
