Q: The software is installed and the Sound Check report comes back as
successful, however, when I play the piano, it does not play through the
speakers of my computer and when I attempt to record, it just doesn't
record. The only sound is through the amp, and that goes for the demo
material as well.
A: There are a number of reasons why your computer may not recognize your
MIDI In signal. Here are some suggestions and diagnostics you may go over:
1. In Record Producer MIDI, click on Options>MIDI Port Setup. For MIDI
Input, make sure it's set to TB USB MIDI 1x1. If it doesn't currently
appear, click on the drop down box and select it as the MIDI Input
driver.
2. Is the MIDI In cable connected to your keyboard's MIDI Out Port?
3. Is your musical keyboard properly configured to transmit a MIDI
signal? There may be a physical switch on the back of your keyboard
or a setting within its MIDI menu functions. Please see your
keyboard's owner's manual for further assistance with this.
4. Did you have any problem installing the TB USB MIDI driver.
5. Did you have anti-virus Software running while Installing?
6. Was the USB MIDI cable detected during the driver installation?
7. Do you get MIDI Input in the little MIDI test utility in the System
Tray?
