Upgrade from "Music Write Plus" to new Music Write series
"Music Write Plus" is a twelve year old product that will not function in new
Technologies. You can no longer use it in new Systems that implement new
Technologies, and we recommend that you do not even attempt to install it.
The "MW Songwriter" is available at only $29.95 as an electronic Download.

Please note that "MW Songwriter" is NOT at all similar to the old "MW Plus".
It is more Advanced than MW Plus with a lot more Features. The more Features
a program offers, the more the complexity factor increases and there is a
learning curve with all new Software. Since Sales of Software are final,
please make sure that you first Download the free Demo, to make sure that
it meets all your expectations, including the *learning* factor and verify
that you feel comfortable.

Please note that Sales of Software products are final. Absolutely no returns.

Q: Since I can no longer use "Music Write Plus" in Windows XP Home, looking
to Upgrade, I read the back of the MWP box and it sounds like it does most
of what MW Songwriter does. Is there a major difference between the two?

A: There are VERY major differences. Too many to even list including the
look and "feel" that are entirely overhauled and the new series function
different in every way. Most importantly "MW Plus" only writes for one
instrument at a time (one track) while MW Songwriter can do up to 8
    instruments (tracks).

MW Plus doesn't do ties, triplets or repeats and supports very limited
Time Signatures / Tempos. It is very basic software. Also it's only
    compatible with Windows 9x/ME.

Save your .PBL files in standard .MID format:
MW Plus is not supported in new Systems running Win 2000, Win XP or later.
If throughout the years you have invested a lot of valuable time creating
PBL files that are important to you, you should do this before upgrading
your system to XP or any other OS that is not supported by MW Plus. Once
you migrate to the new OS, it is too late to Save your PBL files as MIDI
files, since you cannot install this program onto new platforms.

If you failed to this 'beforehand' the only other option would be to
re-install MW Plus in a different System that runs Win 95 or Win 98
and do the conversion from there.
