The following functions have been updated or changed since the Music Write
2000 manual was printed:
1. To open the fonts dialog box, select Display->Page, and NOT Display->Score.
2. For pitch shifting, Shift+Pitch should be selected - NOT Shift alone.
3. The manual describes the Play and Stop buttons as black. In fact, they are
green and blue, respectively.
4. The manual's discussion of file compatibility with Copyist(TM) is
incorrect. Copyist version 5 files from Sion Software are not supported
by Music Write 2000 Pro Edition. They are supported however in subsequent
versions as in the MW 2000 Standard Edition.
5. Throughout the manual, the Maximize button is referred to as a
down-pointing triangle. This was a reference to the Windows 3.1 version.
6. The manual states that the program creates a desktop icon. This is
incorrect.
7. Many of the screen graphics displayed in the manual are taken from a
previous version of Music Write 2000. Users should not be concerned if the
program they are using appears different from these screen shots.
8. The manual states incorrectly that Ctrl Z is the keyboard shortcut for
Zoom. Ctrl Z is actually the shortcut for Undo.
9. To view Indentation, you need to be in Print mode.
10. The manual states that 16 tracks is Music Write's maximum. The actual
limit is 47 tracks.
11. The Hide Notes/Show Notes button on the Controller Editor is not labeled
as such, in contrast to what the manual says. There is a tooltip caption
for the button that does describe the function.
