Notation - how to create complex figures - Mozart fonts
This program is extremely flexible in that you can notate virtually anything
when you enter it as pure graphics. This method lifts all 'rules' of music
normally applied by the program and allows you to put any musical graphic
virtually anywhere on the screen.

To enter notation as 'pure graphics'

1. Select the 'Mozart' font by going to the 'Symbols' button and then going
    to 'Mozart'.

2. You will see a grid appear with all characters available under the Mozart
    True Type font.

3. Now you can select any character and place it on the Score Editor as a
    pure graphic.

NOTE 1:
No MIDI information will be linked to the displayed notation using this
method. You are placing only graphics on the screen, not MIDI performance
data. You will not be able to 'hear' the notes positioned in this way when
you play back your song.

This method works best if you need to write odd or extremely complex figures
for a particular measure or section, and you need to print out parts for
live performance.

NOTE 2:
When placing these figures, you will see the cursor 'snap' to the duration
value you have chosen in the extreme upper left of the program. For highest
resolution and freedom of choice of notation display parameters, you can
select the highest value - sixty-fourth note.

PRINTING OUT THE ENTIRE MOZART FONT

Some of the figures in the Mozart font grid are hard to see. We have created
a Music Write file that you can download and print out, that displays all of
the Mozart font grid's characters as they will appear on the staff.

It is available from the FTP Files Download Area.
The filename is: mozart.zip
