No Input from External Keyboard 
Q:  When Music Write is open, midi input from the keyboard appears to be 
    disabled. When I run SoundCheck while Music Write is open, it then says 
    the device isn't supported.  In Music Write the step input function doen't
    work from the external keyboard. However, right clicking on the staff with
    the arrow does work. Output to the keyboard is however, still fine.


A:  In Music Write, don't use the Step Entry feature (make sure it's not
    enabled). Just click on the red record button, play some keys on your 
    keyboard and then press the stop button. 

    If something was recorded, you should receive a message asking you if 
    you want to keep the take. Then click on Yes.
