MIDI Recording - Cannot Record
If while trying to record from your keyboard nothing is getting recorded,
it means you're not getting MIDI Input from your external Keyboard. This
may happen because of one of the following reasons:

    * The cables are hooked up wrong. MIDI In must go to MIDI Out
       and vice-versa.

    * Your soundcard drivers are not installed or setup incorrectly,
       preventing MIDI from being received.

    * Your Sound Card is not capable of handling MIDI. You may find this
hard to accept, since you never had any problems with "sound" before.
Most likely, you never used your Sound Card for MIDI as you were only
playing Audio. The famous sound from AOL: "Welcome You've Got Mail"
as well as all those 'silly' Windows sounds are nothing else but
"Digital Audio" 'Sampled' files. They simply are not MIDI.

    * Your external MIDI Keyboard is not setup properly in order to Transmit
MIDI commands. Please consult with your Keyboard's manual for proper
       Setup.
