MIDI controllers?
Q: I am using the Voyetra Music Write program and want to purchase a midi
keyboard controller. Online I have considered Roland, Evolution, and
maybe Edirol. Are there any you could recommend or advise about using
with your products? This is new to me.

A: We don't recommend any particular MIDI controller. What's more important
is how that specific controller is going to interface with the computer.

Some controllers just have MIDI jacks and you can use any type of MIDI
interface (joystick, USB, serial, etc.) to connect the controller to the
    computer.

Other controllers might come with a built in MIDI interface (USB usually)
and they might not be compatible with Music Write.

So the best thing to do is to find out what ports (joystick, USB,etc.)
your computer has and then find out what controllers are compatible.

If you computer has a joystick port, we sell a joystick MIDI Adapter Cable
    on our website:

        http://www.voyetra.com/site/products/skits/macpak10.asp

If your laptop or desktop computer does not have a standard 15 pin
joystick port, you would need a "USB MIDI Adapter Cable". Voyetra sells
one for $49.95 plus S & H that also includes MIDI Software to get you
started. Please take a look under the "Starter Kits" series.
