Before installing any Software or Hardware in a system, you must disable any
Antivirus programs: NORTON, Microsoft Anti Spy, etc. The application may not
install correctly if antivirus programs are running while you attempt to
install a new component or program in a system. This is to avoid any system
problems you may experience later on.
Also make sure you have installed all the available Windows Updates and
remember that your Antivirus protection is only as good as your "Virus
Definition Updates" are.
******************************
If you have already installed a program while your anti-virus Software
was running and you have problems, please UNINSTALL the program as follows:
* Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (unless otherwise instructed by the
program)
* Reboot your system
* Disable ANY anti-virus program
* Re-install
* Re-enable your anti-virus
******************************
If you experience any issues with the functionality of a program or any
performance issues, first try to disable your Antivirus program to see
if this is the culprit.
