Here is how to have this program playback your second endings:

1. Set up your first and second endings using the first and second ending
   adjustable symbols. 
   NOTE: the first and second ending symbols must appear over the top staff.
   
   

2. Place the cursor in the first bar.  Go to Display > Bar > Barline.  
   Choose "Left Repeat".

3. Place the cursor in the bar following your first ending.  
   Go to Display > Bar > Barline.  Choose "Right Repeat".  
   This will place the right repeat at the end of the first ending. 

4. Make sure that under Options, "Play Repeats" is checked.

   Below is an example of how a properly set up first and second ending 
   should look:

Q:  My problem is how to insert them.  I've clicked on them and tried 
    everything I could think of but they disappear as soon as I move on to 
    the next measure.  Any help you can send me is very much appreciated.

A:  After you draw the ending over the desired bar, make sure you hit 
    the  key on your computer keyboard to set the ending in place.
