MIDI Cable connection - No MIDI In port on keyboard 
Q:  My keyboard has only a 'MIDI OUT' port and not a 'MIDI IN' port but the 
    manual says: Note that the MIDI IN plug of the cable must connect to the 
    MIDI OUT jack on the keyboard, and the MIDI OUT plug must connect to the
    MIDI IN jack. So how would I connect my keyboard?


A:  It's OK if your keyboard doesn't have a MIDI In jack. You can just leave
    the MIDI Out cable unconnected. The only drawback since your MIDI 
    keyboard doesn't have a MIDI In jack is that your MIDI keyboard 
    won't be able to playback the MIDI data. Instead, you'll have to use 
    your soundcard's MIDI synthesizer as the MIDI playback device.
