Q: I have been using "Teach Me Piano" since 1995 and all these years it
worked beautifully. I bought a new computer with a Pent4 and Win XP and
now it will not install successfully. When I click on the icon to start
the program I get the message:
"Application was not installed correctly. Please run setup."
Is there a patch or driver to make it work?

NOTE: This applies only to the old version of "Teach Me Piano" that was
made for Win 95, 98 and should NOT be installed in Win 2000 or XP.
Those CDs had the following Part numbers on them:
0480-C01-LB01 (Red & White background CD) (very old Win 3.1)
             VT-150-4845-100
VT-150-4845-200 (White background, Red inscription CD)

If you upgraded your system to Windows XP and while trying to Install or Run
the program you received an error message to the effect that the Application
was not installed correctly, you have a "pre-historic" version of the program.
To avoid any confusion and potential issues, this CD should be destroyed.

This version of "Teach Me Piano" is pre-Win XP. It was designed for systems
that were available at that time (Windows 95) and it will not function in
Windows XP or 2000 Pro. (Please see specifications on your CD jewel case
or software box). There is no Patch or Driver to Download in order to make
it work in the new Operating Systems.

Please consider that when the CD-ROM with the above part# was purchased,
Windows XP did not exist as an Operating System, it was not supported
and one should not combine Technologies of the mid nineties with 2007,
as unpredictable things may happen to you brand new system. We bear no
responsibility if you took the liberty to install old products in unsupported
systems.

As new technologies are introduced, in order to ensure trouble-free operation
and system stability, one needs to upgrade the software too, to match the
newer hardware and the OS they are running on.
