MIDI interfaces - Standard vs. USB
With the introduction of USB technology, modern Sound Cards no longer have a
15-pin port. All of the current joysticks use USB connectors, and soundcards
are expected to provide Dolby Digital 5.1 or 7.1 surround outputs, so the old
gameport/joystick port has been dropped.

First you need to find out if your Computer (Sound Card) has a 15-pin Joystick
Port. If it does not, then you will not be able to use the older standard
Joystick "MIDI Adapter Cable". You cannot use any type of joystick to USB
*adapter* on a joystick "MIDI Adapter Cable" either because it will not work.

Here is what a standard Joystick "MIDI Adapter Cable" looks like:

VTB offers a USB MIDI Adapter Cable for $49.95 plus S&H that also includes

the (stand-alone) USB Cable from our Web Site > Accessories page for only
