Teach Me Piano only runs in 800x600 mode. This is due to the fact that this is
the appropriate size to properly display the videos for best video playback
performance, using the minimum resources. This also is necessary for the
screen to be an adequate viewing size when using it in combination with a MIDI
keyboard, which might not be right next to the computer monitor.
Your display will only turn to 800x600 mode when you are using Teach Me Piano.
However, when you exit Teach Me Piano, your Windows desktop should return to
your original resolution and icons really should not get changed from their
original position. Please check your display settings if your desktop is not
returning to its original layout.
Also, please make sure your display settings (Start Menu -> Settings ->
Control Panel -> Display) are set to Normal Fonts (96 dpi). If you have large
or custom fonts enabled, the Exit Video Screen button won't function
correctly. This is also the case with most Windows Applications.
If the fact that Teach Me Piano only runs in 800x600 mode is causing a problem
for your particular configuration, we would suggest creating a Windows user
account that will only be used for Teach Me Piano. Make sure that particular
windows user account has administrative privileges (necessary in Windows 2000
and XP) and then simply install Teach Me Piano from that Windows user account.
If you want to run the lessons, just switch to that user account.
