Illegible characters - Virus?
Q: The program has been working fine for many years now. Recently, something
    happened and now on the Student Registration Screen, every line where you
    enter the students name is filled with these symbols:

        @@uEeDI
        @@uEdDI
        @@uEdDI

    Also, the Sound Check Screen is completely blank and cannot be accessed.

A: It sounds like your computer was compromised by a virus and unless you get
    rid of it ASAP, it can spread to other programs too, until your system is
    totally unusable. Please use your choice of anti-virus software with the
    latest virus definition files installed, so you can clean your computer
    of the virus.

    Once you have cleaned the virus from your computer, un-install Teach Me
    Piano using the Add/Remove Programs feature in the Windows Control Panel.

    * Go to Start - > Find - > File or Folders
    * Do a search for teachpno.ini
    * Click on it once to highlight it then hit the 'Delete' key on your
        computer keyboard to delete it.
    * Reboot your computer and re-install Teach Me Piano.

NOTE: If you realized this problem around the time you installed the
      software, please do not assume that the Virus came from the Software.
      All Software Manufacturing Companies these days use Professional grade
      Antivirus programs for Software production. Viruses are introduced
      through the Internet rather than through a CD-ROM.
