We recommend that you connect your Turtle Beach USB multimedia device DIRECTLY
to a USB port on the computer itself, and not through a USB Hub. USB Hubs are
not all alike, and some have been found to cause problems for the proper
operation of the SRM.

While a Self-Powered Hub *should* work, this cannot be guaranteed.

There are certain (rare) cases where if a Turtle Beach USB multimedia device
is installed on a multi-port USB 2.0 hub, and certain other USB devices are
installed on the same 'node' of the hub, there will be no response from the
TB USB multimedia device. When this happens, the audio or video software (e.g.
Audio Advantage Control Panel or ADFullCap for Video Advantage USB) will
appear to operate normally, and the TB USB multimedia device will appear fully
functional in Device Manager or Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices,
but no audio or video will be heard or seen from it.

Apparently, certain combinations of hardware installed on a multi-port USB Hub
may result in the TB USB multimedia device being 'disabled.' This can be
rectified by removing the other device(s) and rebooting the system; or as we
recommend, connecting the Turtle Beach USB multimedia device to its own USB
port on the computer.

Things to Try if problems occur:

- Try connecting the TB USB multimedia device to a different port on the hub
- Try to connect other devices to the same port to see if they work
- Try connecting only the TB USB multimedia device to the hub while
disconnecting all other hardware (at least temporarily) to see if the
     results are different.
- Try 'reshuffling' the combinations and order of USB devices connected
to the Hub, to see if you can find a combination that works. Some
trial and error' experimentation may be required.

                              ***
NOTE:
It's usually easiest to install the Turtle Beach USB multimedia device on its
own USB port on the computer.
