Q: I read about this device in our local newspaper in Denver, CO. I went to
your Website to order, but the article and your website didn't jibe.
The article said that:
"...device turns your laptop ....into a surround-sound theater"
I took that to mean that plugging in your device would improve the
sound quality of my laptop speakers; this is important to me as I do
a lot of presentation work and if I don't have to lug around plug in
speakers that's a real benefit for me.
Your website, however, says that headphone sound will be improved
which is not important to me. So which is more accurate?
A: Technology can be confusing at times. What the article said was
absolutely correct, as long as you have an EXTERNAL surround-sound
theater speaker System. However, if you DO have a surround-sound theater
speaker System connected to the built-on sound-chip on the laptop
motherboard, there is no way you can get this sound. This product has
nothing to do with the internally built speakers on your laptop.
If you do NOT have external Powered Speakers the product will have
ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT whatsoever on your built in speaker system.
This little device of 1" X 2" cannot possibly replace the use of external
Powered Speakers at the $29.95 List price... The Headphone sound is
indeed improved DRAMATICALLY.
