Audio Advantage Micro - FAQs

All files and documentation are offered on an *AS IS* basis and you assume full responsibility for using them.
System Requirements - Minimum
*  PC: Pentium 450 MHz / compatible or higher with one available USB port.

*  RAM: 128 MB System RAM

*  Hard Drive: Approximately 50 MB free space is required during the driver 
   / application installation process.  

*  Display: 1024x768 High Color (24-bit)

*  Operating Systems: One of the following:
     Windows® 2000 (SP-3 or higher required)
     Windows® XP Home 
     Windows® XP Professional
     Windows® XP Media Center Edition
     Windows® Vista 32-bit only     
     Windows® Vista 64-bit not supported                
     MacOSX and higher - (see Notes)

*  The Audio Advantage Micro offers the following features to Macs running 
   OSX and higher    
   - Analog audio output capabilities 
   - Digital audio output capabilities 

*  Features not available to Mac users:    
  -  Dolby Digital / DTS 
  -  Provided software suite. 
  -  3D effects capabilities 

*  CD-ROM Drive: CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive required for software installation.
   A DVD drive, a compatible software DVD player application, and a high 
   quality 5.1 Surround speaker system (five powered speakers plus a powered
   subwoofer) are required for playing back Dolby(R) Digital (AC-3) audio from
   DVD movies with the Audio Advantage.

*  Speakers: High quality stereo (2-speaker) sound system, stereo powered 
   speakers or head-phones are recommended to properly hear the Audio 
   Advantage high-quality stereo audio playback. 

*  A digital speaker system or home theater A/V receiver with optical TOSLINK
   inputs is necessary for connecting the Audio Advantage optical digital 
   output.

NOTES:
    Please bear in mind that our published minimum requirements are based on 
    a test system that was reasonably optimized for performance (without a lot
    of overhead). A typical "casual home user" will often be unwilling to run 
    as 'lean' a system, so in-home performance may be compromised to some
    extent.
 
    We recommend using minimum requirements as a starting point, but faster 
    systems will provide better results. Other applications, especially games,
    may have higher system requirements. Refer to the applications documention
    for details. 

    Windows 98 or Millennium are no longer supported by Microsoft, therefore, 
    VTB cannot offer support for these old Windows platforms.
