UPDATE:
Please note that Microsoft no longer supports Windows 98 or Windows ME
(Millennium). Some of the Microsoft links may no longer be accessible.
Although the package might list these Windows as Supported platforms,
Turtle Beach does not support them anymore.

Q: WINDOWS 98 SE. When I attempt to install the device drivers etc. via the
install program on the CD, I keep getting the error message:
"Don't Support This Platform"
What's up? Is there a way around this?
A: Please goto:
Windows Control Panel > System > Device Manager
At the bottom of the Computer devices, you should show a Category called:
"Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
under which, you should have two entries:
1) Intel PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
2) USB Root Hub
If you do not show this Category at all, most likely, the USB Controller
is not enabled at the BIOS level. Without this 'System Device' you cannot
install any USB Device. Please consult with your Computer / Motherboard
manual for info on how to enable your USB Controller in your System.
***
According to Microsoft...
"Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices that are connected to a Windows 98
Second Edition-based computer may not work if both of the following
hardware components are installed on the computer:
• An AMD processor (running at 350 MHz or faster)
• A VIA Technologies USB controller
CAUSE
This problem occurs because there is a timing-specific problem in the
Universal Host Controller driver (Uhcd.sys) that may prevent USB devices
from being properly enumerated under specific timing conditions.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, download and then run the appropriate file for
your language version of Windows.
NOTE: - This update only applies to Windows 98 Second Edition..."
- Microsoft no longer supports the Windows 98 platform
