Video Capture Process - Analog 


In the analog video capture process, the signal from an analog video source is 
connected to the analog video and audio connectors on the Video Advantage back 
panel bracket. The analog video signal is converted into digital format by the 
Video Advantage PCI card and transferred to the hard drive as a digital video
file. The analog audio signal is converted into digital format by the sound
card and merged with the digital video signal in the digital video file. This
process is controlled by either the AD FullCap or PowerDirector software
applications, depending on the type of video compression desired.
