Windows Messenger running 
Q:  While installing "Power Director 3.0" it puts up a window telling me 
    Windows Messenger is running. What do I do?
    

A:  - please do the 3-key salute: Ctrl+Alt+Delete 
    - locate the Windows Messenger program: MsMsgs.exe 
    - click End Process.

    Disabling it only from the Windows Systray may not always work, so please
    follow the above instructions that also appear while installing. 

    If this does not help and you are still told that it is running, 
    Go to Start > Run and type msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and look for 
    a messenger service and uncheck it. Reboot and close the MSN Messenger 
    in the Systray. Now run the install again.

    Also, please make sure you have DirectX9 and IE 5.5 or higher installed.
