1394 Port Connector:
Q: I see that your Video Advantage PCI front panel offers a 1394 Port
connector. My computer does not have any 1394 ports and it does not
support this Technology. Will I be able to use your product?

A: Absolutely! Even if your computer does not support it, the "Audio
Advantage PCI" will provide support for it via three ports (one 6-pin
on the front bay, one 4-pin and one 6-pin on the rear bracket).

These three 1394 connectors may be used to connect your digital
camcorder, digital VCR or other 1394-based peripherals and at the same
time too. In a nutshell, even if your computer is not 1394 capable,
once you install the "Video Advantage PCI" it will support this
Technology to be used by other devices too.

AGP Bus?
Q: Is the bus really AGP? And, is it 8x AGP?

A: This product uses a PCI card for capture. This is not a video card.
It is a capture only product.

Capture multiple signals:
Q: I have two independent entrances of video (may be more), an originating
one since a camcorder digital and another originating one of another
computer with exit of TV. Can I publish these two entrances with the
product (Video Advantage(R) PCI) but wanted to do it in real time.
I want to mix them, to select the entrance, to add effects and save on
    the hard drive.

A: You would only be able to capture from one input at a time. Adding
another would cause signal problems and poor picture quality. Not to
mention the System 'overhead'. You would have to select the input to
capture from. This product supports 1394DV, S-Video and Composite inputs.

No Free Drive Bay:
Q: I am considering purchasing your Video Advantage PCI but I do not have
a "Free 5.25" drive bay for the drive bay control panel." Can I still
    use your card?

A: You do not need the drive bay installed. It is an option. The "Audio
Advantage ADX" is exactly that: the "Video Advantage PCI" without the
Front Bay. The Front Bay is available for ease of access, so that you
do not have to reach the back of the PC, which sometimes is inaccessible.

                       *****************************

File Formats:
Q: I use Premiere Pro for capturing files with the "AVI ntsc DV" codec. Can
the "Video Advantage PCI" device be used capturing exactly the same file
    type?

A: The VideoAdvantage can capture in AVI DV type 1 and 2 formats.

Remove my Firewire?
Q: Can I remove my FireWire card because the "Video Advantage PCI"
card has a FireWire port built in ?

A: Yes, you can uninstall your other 1394 card as the VA has its own.

                       *****************************

Laptop Installation?
Q: The "Video Advantage PCI" Card will do exactly what I want, only if
I could find a way to make it work with my laptop. Is that possible?

A: PCI cards do not install into laptops. If you have a USB 2.0 port on
the laptop, you can get the Video Advantage USB version.

Cables:
Q: I am interested in purchasing the Turtle Beach Video Advantage PCI Video
Capture Card. Can you inform me as to the function of the Composite
connector? I will be capturing VCR video through this card and I assume
I need to connect the S-cable for Video and RCA audio cables for the
sound. Is the Composite an alternative for both Video and Audio? If so,
what type of cable is required for this connection?

A: The composite video connector includes 3 RCA cables:
    - The yellow one handles the video stream while
    - The red and white ones handle the stereo audio, right and left
respectively. You could use an "S" video connector to handle the video
stream and RCA connectors for the video. There is also a 1394 connector
to record direct from 1394 ("firewire") capable devices.
