Connections to Sound card and splitter Cables (a):
Q: I want to be able to still plug my speakers into the back of the computer
but if I use your jumper cables that leaves no place to plug in my
speakers so I used an audio splitter to enable me to still plug my
speakers into the (green) rear connector.
A: The Video Advantage has a Line Out which would connect to the Line In
of your sound card. This would have nothing to do with the Line Out of
the sound card so you should be having no problem on where to put your
speakers. No splitter is required for this.

Connections to Sound card and splitter Cables (b):
Q: The same problem exists with the microphone but I don't have another
splitter. If I obtain another splitter will I still be able to use the
front mic for my headphones and if so will that over-ride the desktop
speakers?
A: You should be able to use a "Y" cord for your mic in on the sound card
(one from the mic out of the Video Advantage, if this is necessary, and
one from any other mic source you need to attach.)

Q: My motherboard only has two connectors so I had to unplug one of them to
plug in the USB Cable as the other cable is too short to reach to an
external USB Jack. Is there such a thing as a USB Splitter that can be
connected to my motherboard to convert one of the jacks to two jacks?
A: You can pick up USB cables (either standard USB to USB or USB to the
connector on your motherboard) at your local computer store. There are
various lengths and configurations for these cables. They would be
able to assist you best in this regard.

S-Video In Jack:
Q: I understand what all the jacks are used for and how to use them
except the S-Video In. I'm not quite sure what this cable connector is
for. I also have one of these jacks on my Video Card, along with a DVI
Connector.
A: - USB version:
Connects an S-Video signal from your analog VCR or camcorder.
- PCI & ADX version:
Connects an S-Video input to the VA PCI card.
S-Video is a higher quality analog connection that is used by higher
quality analog video cameras. If you are capturing via DV, you wouldn't
use this connection anyway. You can obtain more information about the
S-Video format and specification by visiting your local library or doing
a search on the internet.

Q: How do I view my captured project after I capture it with FullCap?
A: On the back of the PCI card itself you will find an audio out jack
(for output from line level device connected to the RCA jacks) and a mic
out (for a microphone). You use a 1/8"to 1/8" cable to connect the audio
out from the Video Advantage PCI card to the Line IN of your sound card
and the mic out to the Mic Out of your audio card.
Once you have your captured video stored as a file, you can open it in the
Power Director software where you can perform any editing that you wish to
do. In the Power Director software click on Help which will bring up an
extensive Help File with indexing and search features. You can also refer
to the user's guide that came with the Video Advantage package. An
electronic version of the manual is included on the Video Advantage
installation CD.
