Video Capture Process - Digital 


During digital video capture, the signal from a digital camcorder is connected
to the 1394 socket on your PC or laptop (not all PCs and laptops have a 1394
port!). The digital signal is then transferred from the camcorder in digital
format via the 1394 port and transferred to the hard drive as a digital video
file. The process is controlled by using either the AD FullCap or
PowerDirector software applications. 


NOTE: (USB specific)
    Your system must already have one existing 1394 port to do direct 
    digital transfer from your digital video equipment. The "VA PCI" and 
    "VA ADX" models provide with 1394 support if not available in the System.
