Centrino Processor - M 730 (1.60GHz)
Q: I realize that your website indicates that an Intel Pentium or Athlon
processor at 1.8 GHz or better (Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or better)" is
recommended for computer processing requirements, but I was curious to
know how a Pentium M 730 (1.60GHz) Centrino processor would handle the
    Video Advantage USB package.

I am seriously interested in Turtle Beach's product, however, I must
first know the answer to the aforementioned question before making my
    purchase.

A: The Centrino processor CPU speed is roughly equivalent to a Pentium 4.
The main difference is battery life on a laptop equipped with a Centrino
processor. A 1.6 GHz processor is still below the minimum system
requirements of 1.8 GHz which is required for the operation of the Video
    Advantage USB device.

Also, a Pentium M running at 1.8 GHz would be *slower* than a
same-generation Pentium 4 running at the same speed, because the M
processors are slowed down to reduce current draw (and thus to extend
battery life). So a Pentium M 1.6 GHz would be well below the minimum
for VidAdvUSB... In summary, it should work but it might drop frames
    occasionally.
