Software License:
Q: I want to know if the license of the software included with Video
Advantage allows to install it in a desktop computer and a laptop
    computer at the same time.

A: The License allows for the software to be installed and used on one
    computer.

Q: I'm using the PowerDirector to capture video into files with the profile
set at "Best Quality MPEG-2". At that point, the analog video is
digitized and compressed with low degradation of quality. When it comes
to Produce the video into a file and the profile is set to "Best Quality
MPEG-2". Does the PowerDirector do another compression with some loss
of quality? For example, if I import an MPEG-2 file product during Capture
step and I write it back to the disk with the Produce step, does the file
content (and quality) stay the same ?

A: It will not redo anything if it's the same file (no edits). You can also
just render the edits by enabling SVRT (please see the help file in
    PowerDirector).

Hyper threading etc?
Q: Hi, I am in the process of buying a video capture card. I have heard so
many horror stories about most products, I am looking to Turtle beach
video advantage due to your high quality sound cards. My questions are:
    - Does the video advantage PCI have any audio-video sync issues ?
    - Do you fully support Hyper threading ?
    - Do you fully support windows XP SP2 ?

A: - There have been no reports of any sync issues.
    - The product will work on a HT CPU but it does not use the HT feature.
    - It supports XP SP2.

10 bit or 9 bit processing?
Q: I see on your web page that the PCI & ADX versions use 10 bit processing
for color, while the USB uses 9 bit. Does this mean it uses a color depth
of 10 bit or does it refer to the A to D converter being 10-bit.

A: The VDA products have a 10bit and 9 bit color depth respectively. The PCI
& ADX versions offer a slightly better Capture Quality 10bit instead of
    9 bit the USB has.

                       *****************************

Video Noise reduction controls?
Q: Does the software offer Video Noise reduction controls?

A: This product does not have any Video Noise reduction features.

Synching Video > Audio:
Q: I am thinking about purchasing the Video Advantage. Does it hold synch
between audio and video during capture?

A: The audio is recorded via your sound card. The product does a great job
at synchronizing audio and video during capture, but a lot depends on
    your Sound Card.

SDK (Software Development Kit):
Q: I develop S/W using BT-878 video capture card. Do you have SDK (Software
Development Kit) which can run under C++ Builder for compatibility with
    the BT-878 driver?

A: The Video Advantage products work with the drivers provided. They will
not work with the BT-878 drivers and at present there is no SDK.

Q: Does your product support the format (I believe it's Beta) used in the
    Sony Cassette Video Cameras?

A: The Video Advantage will capture video from a source, so the tape format
you are using is irrelevant. As long as your tape player/camera can
output a video signal as composite, S-Video or DV you should experience
    no problem.

Frames Per Second & Resolution:
Q: I need to know how many frames per second the card will capture analog
video from a vhs-c camcorder and at what resolution (with great
    performance).

A: - The card will capture at the rate of 29.97 fps
    - You can adjust the resolution you wish to use. The default is 720x480
