Quality of Picture:
Q: Would you describe the PC-displayed picture quality as "clear?" Some of
these devices are "fuzzy" at best. A reasonable comparison standard for
    clarity are the Win-TV models.

A: I would describe the picture as clear but this would also depend on
whether you are getting your video input from composite, "S" video or
1394 connections. Here is the hierarchy in quality:
(DV 1394 being the best and Composite the poorest)
        1. DV 1394
        2. S-Video
        3. Composite
(Please NOTE: the USB model does not support 1394 connections)
                                   ***
Also, in Power Producer, you may adjust the Quality under the Video
Quality setting on the Select Your Disc screen. Here are the options
    and rates:

High Quality = 60 min max
Standard Quality = 120 min max
Long Play = 180 min max

Single-layer DVD:
Q: I have quite a few movies which were taped from the television. Many of
them are over 2 hours in length. Will your software enable these to be
    recorded in their entirety to a single-layer DVD? I have a DVD-copy
program which can fit a complete 3-hour movie on a 2-hour DVD. Can your
    software do this?

A: Yes, you could record that in a single-layer DVD provided you select a
lower quality. The available Options are:
High Quality = 60 min max
Standard Quality = 120 min max
Long Play = 180 min max

Copyrighted material and Macrovision:
Q: I notice throughout your user manual that you make several references to
copying copyrighted material. Does this mean that your product is capable
of "ignoring" Macrovision on store-bought tapes which I own and are
deteriorating? I would like to copy these to a DVD strictly for my own
use, as I already purchased the movie.

A: Our product does not override Copyright provisions as this would be
illegal. When it comes to Copyrights, please keep in mind this:

Please respect the rights of copyright holders and refrain from
recording anything onto a DVD or CD if you do not have the rights
to do so. If you are unsure of your rights, please consult your
      legal advisor.

Convert 8mm:
Q: I am interested in purchasing your product that converts analog to DV.
I have a Sony 8mm camera about 15 years old. Will that tape be able to
convert with your product? There is not S-Video on that camera. Thanks.

A: If your camera has a composite video output and audio outputs you can
use any of our current Video Advantage products: USB, ADX or PCI. You can
obtain more detailed information as well as view a comparison chart by
visiting our Web site at http://turtle-beach.com

Install on other than C:\ Drive:
Q: How can I install Video Advantage software on a drive other than "C"?
My C drive is full and I want to use drive "G". Unless I can use a drive
other than "C", the system is not usable. Please advise.

A: When you get to the installation screen you will be asked if you would
like to install using the typical installation or a custom installation.
Select custom and point the installation program to the drive and folder
where you would like to install.

                       *****************************

Q: What size hard drive do I need?

A: This depends on how much video material you intend to store permanently
on your hard drive. The prices on hard drives has come down recently so
a 120GB - 250 GB drive may well fall within your budget. Make sure that
the drive has a minimal access time and spins at 7200 RPM or better.

                       *****************************

Q: Will I be able to run Power Director, AD fullcap and what ever else is on
your software on one dedicated drive?

A: You can run the software off of the same drive that you are storing your
    captured video files.

                       *****************************

Wide Screen format:
Q: Can I make DVD video in wide screen format w/ your hardware/software from
    Video Advantage?

A: The software that comes bundled with the Video Advantage system does
not have the ability to reformat your already captured video to wide
screen format. However, if you capture the material from your Video
Camera onto your computer using AVI foramt, you can play it back in Full
    Screen.
