The "Cancun Programmer" is available as a free download on VTB's FTP site
under Cancun & Montego Home Studio.

The Cancun Programmer uses MIDI and System Exclusive messages to alter the
Turtle Beach Cancun's effects parameters.
After the Cancun is programmed, it will retain these settings until you turn
off the computer (at which point it goes back to its default settings).
The Cancun Programmer allows you to save your settings to reload at any time.
It is suggested that you save the settings using the name of the song you are
working on, but you can save it under any name.

EFFECT SECTION
Use the MIDI Port drop-down to select the MIDI Port the Cancun is connected
to.
From the Reverb and Chorus drop-downs you can choose the effect you want and
then alter its parameters with the faders below.
To hear what the current effect sounds like, click the Test Note button.
The patch, channel, and note to be played on the Test Note button is
selectable immediately below.
If for some reason it seems that nothing is working, you probably have your
effects sends off. Hit the 'All Channels Effects Max' button and this should
fix the problem.
What this does is send a value of 127 (maximum) on all MIDI channels for
controllers 91 and 93 (reverb and chorus sends). After you have set the
Cancun's effects, you can then adjust the effect send for each MIDI channel
back to where you want them using your sequencing software.
Similarly, the 'All Channel Effects Off' button sends a value of 0 for all
MIDI channels on controllers 91 and 93.

DRUM PROGRAMMER SECTION
The Drum Programmer section allows you to program up to 20 different drums on
the Cancun.
First select a drum slot by clicking on a number. Then set the Drum Note for
that slot.
Now you can alter Pan, Pitch, Level, Reverb and Chorus for that drum.
Click the 'Test This Drum' to hear the drum as you program.
When it's time for the next drum, select another drum slot, set its drum note
and re-adjust the faders.
All 20 slots will be saved when you save your settings.

CHAN ON/OFF SECTION
This section allows you to mute individual MIDI channels on the Cancun.
On some Turtle Beach sound cards, the Wavetable header shares the same MIDI
output as the joystick port. This means if you are using a Joystick port MIDI
adapter and using a Cancun, you will hear the Cancun and your external gear
playing at the same time.
The Chan On/Off section allows you to mute channels on the Cancun so it can
share the MIDI port.
For example, say you decide you want to use MIDI channels 1-8 for your
external gear and channels 9-16 for the Cancun. You would uncheck channels
1-8 on the Cancun Programmer so the Cancun is silent when anything on MIDI
channels 1-8 is played. You should then also mute channels 9-16 on your
external gear so that is silent when you are playing on channels 9-16
(reserved for the Cancun).

KEYBOARD
The Cancun Programmer is mostly mouse-oriented. However, note that for fine
tuning, the arrows on the computer keyboard will adjust values by 1.
The Page Up/Page Down keys will adjust values by 10.

OTHER NOTES:
The Feedback fader under Reverb only appears when Reverb Type is set to Delay
or Pan Delay.
This Feedback parameter does NOT exist for the other effects (i.e. all reverb
effects have the parameters of Level and Time, except for Delay and Pan Delay
which also have the extra parameter of Feedback. That's the way the chip
works.)
Enjoy!
NOTE: This program is offered as is with no TechSupport from VTB,
compliments of VTB's own Mark Andrews. 10/12/00
