Some of you may encounter this error during the install process:

   "The file 'xxxxxxxx.xxx' on Turtle Beach Driver Installation Disk 
    could not be found."

If you get a message similar to this one, please follow these instructions:

1. First, you need to know the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. 
   Double-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and you will
   see that one of your disk drives appears with a Compact Disc icon. 
   This is your CD-ROM drive. 


                  

   In the illustration above, the CD-ROM drive is assigned to drive letter E:,
   but it can be almost any other letter up to Z:.


2. If the soundcard's installation CD is already in your CD-ROM drive, the
   CD-ROM icon in My Computer will look something like the picture below:

                               


3. Now that you know the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive, reboot Windows to
   restart the installation process. 

4. After the Add New Hardware Wizard detects the new hardware, it will ask for
   the location of the drivers.  If it does not automatically find the
   soundcard's drivers on the CD-ROM, the wizard may need to Browse to the
   location of the drivers.  Point the wizard to the CD-ROM drive as shown in
   the illustration below.  You can simply type in the "path" to the CD-ROM as
   shown (E:\ in this case), or click on the Browse button to navigate to the 
   CD-ROM drive.  
   

              
        


5. Your CD-ROM drive will now appear with a Compact Disc icon in the Drives:
   field, as shown in the example below:




6. Press the OK button when the missing file appears highlighted in the large
   box under File name: (the file a3d.dll is shown in the illustration above).

7. The Windows Add New Hardware Wizard should be able to find the rest of the
   files from there.  


NOTE: 
Some installation programs will ask for the Windows CD-ROM at some point. 
This will cause the Add New Hardware Wizard to lose track of where to find 
its files.  

1. For Windows 98, you will need to type in or select the E:\WIN98 folder.  

2. After the Add New Hardware Wizard is finished copying files from the 
   Windows CD it will prompt for the soundcard installation CD. 
   Once again it will have lost track of where the files are.  
   Simply type in or select the E:\ folder.  The Add New Hardware Wizard 
   should find the file it is looking for and be able to proceed normally 
   from there.
