Windows 2000 is a Business Operating System not designed for consumer use.
Moreover unlike Win NT, Win 2000 is based on a new Driver Modeling
architecture.
While most of our 'older' Software and Hardware will work in this Operating
System, support for these products is limited to the known workarounds posted
on our website.

If you wish to experiment with Windows 2000 using a Daytona, here are
(strictly *unsupported*) instructions how to install it in Windows 2000
(version 5.00.2195):
- The Daytona works fine in Windows 2000 using the NT Drivers on the Daytona
Applications CD-ROM or the drivers downloaded from our Web site:
http://www.tbeach.com (go to Support > FTP Files Download Area >
Daytona > day_nt4.zip).
- Although you have functionality of the soundcard, the Device Manager will
report: "No drivers are installed for this device". You may ignore this.

2. Select Display a list of devices, and click Next.
3. Choose Sound, video and game controllers.

5. Browse to the \NT folder on Daytona CD or to your Hard Drive location
where you saved the downloaded NT Drivers and choose OEMSETUP.INF.
6. Click Open, then OK.
7. At the Digital Signature window, click YES.
8. Choose the TBS Daytona PCI Sound Driver, then click Next.
9. At the Update Driver Warning window, click YES.
10. At the Digital Signature window, click YES.
11. Windows then installs the drivers, click Finish and restart.
12. Repeat steps 1-10, and choose TBS Daytona FM Synthesis Driver.
13. Repeat steps 1-10, and choose TBS Daytona Joystick Driver.
In summary, the Daytona works fine in Windows 2000 for FM, Wavetable MIDI
and for Digital Audio.
- We also tested the MIDI In port in Digital Orchestrator Pro by setting
the MIDI in and Out ports to MIDI In and MIDI Out.
The Daytona worked for both recording and playing back MIDI.
