S/PDIF - NON Optical Ports 
Q:  I need to use the S/PDIF port to transfer music into a laptop from a
    guitar effects processor (which has a S/PDIF port). The hang up is that 
    my equipment has the non optical spdif port and the roadie looks to have
    an optical spdif port. How can I make this work?

A:  You would need to purchase an "Optical To Coax" Converter. This should 
    convert your Coax signal to Optical so that it can be recongized by the 
    Roadie.
