EAX & Battlefield 2:
Q: When playing Battlefield 2 with EAX on, the sound is all distorted. When
I remove the option for EAX, the sound is normal, however, I lose the
ambient sounds. Does the Turtle Beach card fully support EAX or is there
something I need to do for Battlefield 2?

A: Please have a look at this: http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_6.html
    - Turtle Beach products do NOT support EAX 3.0 or 4.0.
    - They support A3D 1.0, EAX 1.0 and 2.0.
    - EAX versions 3.0 and higher are proprietary, available only on
       Sound Blaster (Creative Labs) products.
    - EAX is an analog feature only and it is not available through digital
       out.

World of Warcraft: (audio clicks, pops)
Q: My Turtle Beach card works like a champ except for in World Of Warcraft.
I get audio clicks and pops, it's truly random and makes no difference
what form of output I use. Whether it's analog, spdif/48 or DDL out thru
    spdif. Any suggestions?

A: If the only problem that you are experiencing has to do with the World of
War Craft, you may want to check the audio settings in the game itself.
There may be something in there you need to adjust. Also, please make sure
that there are no other installed devices sharing system resources with
    the Turtle Beach card.

You may want to check the game maker's web site to see if they have any
suggestions for settings that need to be made to avoid this problem. Also,
if you have anything running in the background that is locking up the PCI
bus, this may also cause the problem that you are experiencing.

See if this happens all the time or if it happens intermittently.
For instance, when the game makes a large cache hit, ie uses the Hard
Drive a lot. If this is the case, then your System might need Optimization
or simply you need a faster system. Sorry. Gamers usually build their
systems around the games for performance benefit.

World of Warcraft:
Q: I started playing world of warcraft. I am using the Turtle Beach option
to replace my soundstorm motherboard based sound that I used to use.
While playing I randomly get short bursts of loud feedback sounding noise
that screeches on the speakers. I have a 3ghz athlon barton, a radeon 9800
pro, 1 gig of ram running at 400mhz, windows XP. I very much like the
sound quality when this is not happening so I hope we can resolve this
    issue.

A: If the sound card works in all instances except this one, then there is no
problem with the sound card itself. You may need to change an audio option
within the WOWC game itself. You may also wish to visit Blizzard's web
site to see if there are any tech notes or patches available for the
    problem that you are experiencing.

Games and 5.1 Speaker Configuration:
Q: If I select a 5.1 speaker configuration in a game like Half-Life 2, the
AC3 stream will contain the 5 channels just as if I was using the analog
outputs (front, back, center and subwofer) but through S/PDIF (which is
why im interested in the card).

A: As long as the game you are playing supports an AC-3 stream in the API
there is no problem. If it does not, you can use the analog outputs and
adjust the audio properties accordingly within the games' audio options.
